Manufacturer service-history reports and factory build sheets are being prepared. They are not currently available to purchase. A make or model guide does not confirm data coverage for that vehicle.
Use the authorised route for the record
Mercedes-Benz says owners can request service history through an Authorised Repairer or its assistance team, with identity and ownership evidence required. For applicable vehicles, records are held in the Digital Service Booklet. Confirm the requirements directly before sending personal documents.
A request for a copy of existing history differs from booking a new service or purchasing a service plan. Explain which information you need and which vehicle it concerns.
Read beyond the service label
A short service label may not describe every additional item. Ask for the detailed report and invoices where you need to establish that a specific job was completed. Compare the record with the requirements for the exact engine, year and configuration.
An absence from one summary does not automatically disprove work shown by a valid independent invoice. Keep source labels clear, and ask the relevant workshop to explain anything incomplete or inconsistent.
Useful questions for the seller
- Can I see the digital service report and supporting invoices?
- Which engine and configuration do the maintenance requirements refer to?
- What work is evidenced beyond the basic service label?
- Are dates, mileages and vehicle identifiers consistent across the file?
