FORD FIESTA

Ford Fiesta service history: know what the records prove.

With a Ford Fiesta, a small or low-mileage car still deserves a readable maintenance file. Check the actual schedule and evidence instead of using annual mileage as a substitute for servicing.

YOUR NEXT STEP

Check the Ford Fiesta MOT timeline first.

Look at the free MOT and recorded-mileage history, then keep your service evidence together in My Garage.

Free MOT and recorded-mileage check. No account needed. Paid manufacturer reports are not yet on sale.

Manufacturer service-history reports and factory build sheets are being prepared. They are not currently available to purchase. A make or model guide does not confirm data coverage for that vehicle.

Put dates alongside the mileages

A Fiesta that covered few miles may still have time-based maintenance requirements. Establish those requirements for the exact engine and year with Ford or a suitable workshop, then compare the dated evidence. Do not assume a service was unnecessary simply because the odometer barely changed.

Ask whether the record is held in a paper book, a digital account or both. Request the supporting invoices before deciding that a gap is unexplained.

Be precise about repairs and maintenance claims

If a repair or replacement is highlighted in the advert, ask who did it, when, at what mileage and what the invoice describes. This is particularly useful when a broad phrase such as “belt done” leaves the scope unclear. The document should support the actual claim.

MOT advisories may help you identify questions about tyres, brakes or other recorded items, but a historical advisory is not proof of a current fault. An inspection and later invoices can add context.

Plan the next owner’s record

Save the vehicle after purchase, keep the service date and mileage with each new invoice, and add the next confirmed maintenance milestone to your own diary. Our saved reminder preferences do not yet send emails, so retain your existing reminders.

Three questions to take to the seller or workshop

  1. Are time-based requirements supported by dated documents?
  2. What exactly does the invoice for a claimed replacement include?
  3. Is the paperwork complete across both paper and digital sources?

Your next step

Read the Ford record-source guide, or save your car in My Garage to organise evidence you already hold. A paid digital-record search cannot currently be ordered on FMSH; this guide is not confirmation of manufacturer coverage.
