Manufacturer service-history reports and factory build sheets are being prepared. They are not currently available to purchase. A make or model guide does not confirm data coverage for that vehicle.
Use Online Service History as one source
Land Rover provides an Online Service History service for applicable vehicles, with access linked to the VIN. Its guidance describes recorded maintenance and inspection entries. Read the actual detail returned rather than assuming every workshop visit represents a routine service.
If the record is unavailable or incomplete, ask the retailer or servicing workshop for help. A missing digital entry does not by itself explain whether the car was serviced elsewhere, whether paperwork is missing or whether work was not recorded.
Keep the exact configuration in view
Identify the engine, year and model before discussing maintenance requirements. Discovery Sport, Discovery and Range Rover Sport are not interchangeable descriptions. Use the correct vehicle handbook and a suitable workshop to establish the schedule that applies.
A repair or replacement highlighted by a seller deserves its own invoice. Ask what was replaced and why, while keeping an assessment of current condition separate from the historical record.
What a useful file includes
- VIN-matching manufacturer entries where available.
- Detailed invoices for servicing and any significant repairs.
- MOT chronology and evidence explaining follow-up work.
- The exact model and engine requirements confirmed with an appropriate source.
