LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT

Land Rover Range Rover Sport service history: know what the records prove.

For a Range Rover Sport, evaluate the maintenance evidence, advertised specification and present condition as three related but separate questions. One source does not answer all three.

YOUR NEXT STEP

Check the Land Rover Range Rover Sport MOT timeline first.

Look at the free MOT and recorded-mileage history, then keep your service evidence together in My Garage.

Free MOT and recorded-mileage check. No account needed. Paid manufacturer reports are not yet on sale.

Manufacturer service-history reports and factory build sheets are being prepared. They are not currently available to purchase. A make or model guide does not confirm data coverage for that vehicle.

Reconcile the vehicle identity

Confirm the model year, engine and VIN before reading the schedule or comparing documents. Range Rover Sport and other Range Rover models should not be treated as the same file. Ask for an explanation if the advert or invoice uses a different model description.

A manufacturer history summary can establish recorded visits. Itemised invoices are still useful when you want to know the exact scope of a service or repair.

Read significant work in context

Ask the seller to identify important repairs, when they happened and the invoices that support them. A repaired component is not automatically a reason to reject a vehicle; an unexplained claim should not automatically be accepted either. A workshop can help interpret the evidence.

Where MOT items appear more than once, ask what follow-up work was done and compare later records. Do not treat repeated historical notes as proof of a current mechanical problem.

Check original and current equipment separately

Optional features and later modifications can affect what is fitted today. Ask for a demonstration of equipment that matters to you, and keep specification evidence distinct from servicing. After purchase, save the records you can legitimately retain and add future work with its date and mileage.

Three questions to take to the seller or workshop

  1. Do the records match the precise Range Rover Sport being sold?
  2. Are significant repairs supported by detailed invoices?
  3. Which advertised features have been demonstrated on the vehicle?

Your next step

Read the Land Rover record-source guide, or save your car in My Garage to organise evidence you already hold. A paid digital-record search cannot currently be ordered on FMSH; this guide is not confirmation of manufacturer coverage.
