Manufacturer service-history reports and factory build sheets are being prepared. They are not currently available to purchase. A make or model guide does not confirm data coverage for that vehicle.
Identify the engine and year first
Match the registration and VIN to the car, then establish the exact engine and model year. Ask an appropriate Land Rover workshop what maintenance should be evidenced. A model name alone is not enough to choose the right requirements.
Read any Online Service History entries alongside invoices. Distinguish routine services from inspections and repairs so the number of visits does not become a misleading measure of completeness.
Ask for the evidence behind major claims
If the advert highlights a replacement engine, timing work or another substantial repair, ask for the full invoice and an explanation of its scope. Record the date, mileage and workshop. A broad phrase about “work done” is not a substitute for documentary detail.
This page does not assert that a particular Discovery Sport has a known fault. Use the actual history, the exact specification and a qualified inspection to assess the individual vehicle.
Separate family-car features from maintenance
Verify advertised seating, towing or assistance equipment on the car itself. A future build sheet may help identify recorded original specification where supported, but it would not establish that equipment works today. Keep the supporting service paperwork organised for the next owner.
Three questions to take to the seller or workshop
- Does every record identify this Discovery Sport?
- What precisely was included in any substantial repair?
- Which maintenance requirements apply to this exact engine and year?
Your next step
Read the Land Rover record-source guide, or save your car in My Garage to organise evidence you already hold. A paid digital-record search cannot currently be ordered on FMSH; this guide is not confirmation of manufacturer coverage.
