Ask to see the recorded work, not only the app
MINI’s app provides service-related features, but an app screen or appointment is not by itself a complete history. Ask a MINI Service Partner what completed records are available for this vehicle and request supporting invoices.
Review any in-car service information with the seller present. Keep the vehicle generation and the actual display in context; do not assume every MINI offers the same record-access features.
Distinguish the model, powertrain and maintenance regime
A Cooper name can appear across different generations and configurations. Establish the year and powertrain before asking what servicing should be evidenced. Petrol, electric and other configurations should not share an assumed universal checklist.
If the car has been maintained by a specialist, its invoices may provide detail that is absent from a manufacturer summary. Keep those documents labelled by source.

- Dated records with the mileage and work description.
- Invoices explaining significant replacements or repairs.
- A demonstration of the relevant in-car information.
- Confirmation of requirements for the exact model and year.
