Manufacturer service-history reports and factory build sheets are being prepared. They are not currently available to purchase. A make or model guide does not confirm data coverage for that vehicle.
Establish which Yaris the history belongs to
Match the body, engine and model year to the documents. Keep Yaris and Yaris Cross descriptions distinct when identifying the vehicle. A registration search is a starting point; an abbreviated advert should not decide which maintenance requirements apply.
Check whether the seller has a MyToyota history, a paper booklet or both. A photograph of one page may omit the earlier or later part of the file. Request the surrounding record and the latest invoice.
Read a low-mileage record by date as well as distance
A low odometer reading does not explain whether time-based maintenance was completed. Put each service date and mileage in order and compare it with the requirements confirmed for the exact Yaris.
For a hybrid, keep any hybrid-system inspection documentation separately identifiable. Ask what it establishes rather than assuming it proves all routine servicing or the present condition of the battery.
Three questions to take to the seller or workshop
- Does the paperwork identify this Yaris rather than another variant?
- Are low-mileage periods supported by dated maintenance evidence?
- Which documents describe servicing and which describe separate inspections?
Your next step
Read the Toyota record-source guide, or save your car in My Garage to organise evidence you already hold. A paid digital-record search cannot currently be ordered on FMSH; this guide is not confirmation of manufacturer coverage.
