Manufacturer service-history reports and factory build sheets are being prepared. They are not currently available to purchase. A make or model guide does not confirm data coverage for that vehicle.
Go from the summary to the workshop detail
Start with the dated information available from Volvo, then ask the workshop involved for the detail behind significant entries. If a seller mentions a major repair, request that invoice rather than expecting a basic history summary to explain it.
Include independent maintenance in the same chronology with a clear source label. An absence from one network record does not settle whether work was done elsewhere.
Check imported and electrified examples carefully
Where the vehicle has an overseas history, ask which national Volvo team holds those records. Preserve original mileage units and explain any conversion separately.
For an electrified variant, request relevant maintenance documents and inspect the charging or other equipment where fitted. A historical service list is not a battery-health certificate or a test of present operation.
Three questions to take to the seller or workshop
- Which workshop can explain the detailed work?
- Are overseas and independent records included?
- Which evidence relates to this XC60’s exact powertrain?
Your next step
Read the Volvo record-source guide, or save your car in My Garage to organise evidence you already hold. A paid digital-record search cannot currently be ordered on FMSH; this guide is not confirmation of manufacturer coverage.
